In addition to sustainability and climate protection, she argues, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.handelsblatt.com\/politik\/international\/cera-week-reiche-stellt-klimaziele-fuer-2050-infrage\/100209606.html\">affordability and availability<\/a> must also be taken into account. Against this backdrop, the German Chamber of Industry and Commerce (DIHK) published a <a href=\"https:\/\/global-energy-solutions.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/DIHK-Energiewende-Plan-B-Executive-Summery2.pdf\">study<\/a> at the end of 2025 showing that the current course is causing economically unsustainable costs\u2014amounting to at least 5 trillion euros by 2045. GES contributed to this study, which outlines a Plan B for the energy transition. The German Renewable Energy Federation (BEE) has published a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bee-ev.de\/service\/publikationen-medien\/beitrag\/bewertung-der-dihk-studie-neue-wege-fuer-die-energiewende-plan-b-von-frontier-economics\">critique<\/a> of the DIHK study.
