Important legislative proposals are currently being discussed in Berlin – proposals that hardly anyone knows about: for example, the Greenhouse Gas Reduction Quota Act. The question behind this is how CO₂emissions from petrol and diesel can be reduced in the coming years. In practical terms, this is to be achieved by adding climate-friendly components to fuels. Global Energy Solutions (GES) has two important demands in this context:
- Fair treatment of electric and combustion engine vehicles based on their actual CO₂footprints
- More technological openness with regard to climate-friendly fuels
