Artificial intelligence (AI) is driving demand for computing power – and thus for energy infrastructure – to unprecedented levels. For the attractiveness of AI data centre locations, both the price of electricity and the ability to supply power reliably, quickly and economically are crucial. The GES’s key message: The bottleneck in the AI era is not computing power, but supplying data centres with climate-neutral electricity reliably and at competitive costs.
